This year, who couldn’t use a little extra holiday cheer? That’s what we thought! Irish Nobleman Chicago is going all out to fully deck (not only) the halls… but the inside, outside, bar, outdoor dining, and every possible inch we can. We’re offering a hot chocolate bar, and many hot beverages made from scratch such as hot toddies, hot buttered rum, mulled wine, and spiked caramel apple cider. Our outdoor dining area is heated and decorated. While we’re at it, we’ve also added a Maker’s Market/Holiday Shopping Pop-Up to the area formerly known as our dining room. A portion of the proceeds from our Holiday Pop-Up Market is going to our efforts to continue to feed displaced hospitality workers in Chicago. (Find out more about feeding out of work hospitality staff & how you can help –> Help Feed Chicago Hospitality Workers.)

This has been the toughest year ever for many of us, and it’s more important than ever to shop local and support local businesses, makers, artists, and boutiques. Most artists and makers relied heavily on art shows and markets to sell their handmade goods in order to make a living. But this year markets and art shows weren’t an option due to the COVID19 pandemic closures. So, we came up with the idea to transform our vacant dining room into a pop-up market where local artisans can sell their goods (safely and socially distanced.) Block Club also wrote a nice feature on our Christmas Market which you can check out here –> You Can Support The Irish Nobleman, Local Artists By Shopping West Town Bar’s Pop-Up

We’ve expanded our menu this fall & winter to include many hot drinks to help keep you warm when dining outside. Spiked caramel hot apple cider is a crowd favorite, our hot buttered rum is made from scratch, and our mulled wine is made fresh daily. The hot cocoa bar is setup at our ice cream bar and all of those delish toppings are fun on a hot chocolate too! Speaking of hot chocolates- ask our bartenders about what to get yours spiked with! From classics like Hot Damn Cinnamon Schnapps or Irish Cream to Peanut butter Whiskey- we’ve got an endless supply of great takes on the hot cocoa that will keep you warm all winter long (or at least during each trip to our Pub.) Irish Nobleman has a long history of offering extensive mocktails and non-alcoholic options and most of these hot beverages can be made without alcohol as well. You can also find out more about our NA (non-alcoholic) selection, mocktails and dry culture right here.

The Decorations

We’ve decorated and decorated, and are decorating some more! Big kids at heart, we’ve always loved decorations and felt there was an art to inspiring holiday cheer through festive lights, holly and bulbs. This year we just have a larger canvas to work on and we’ve decked the inside and outside with thousands of lights and a giant cheer inducing display on our exterior and outdoor dining tents. We topped it all off with a quite epic inflatable parade of giant snowmen, santas, grinches, and other holly jolly holiday symbols that are lining the property.

Outdoor Dining & Safety Measures

Our outdoor dining area is tented and heated with proper social distancing enforced. Our tents are not fully enclosed in order to provide proper airflow, but there are many heaters to keep us warm. Inside the tents you will find infrared heaters, Christmas lights, and TV’s. Outside the tents there are outdoor heaters and clearly marked social distancing floor markers. You can order from your table by scanning the QR code present, or you can order inside with a staff member. Follow the signs to the proper entrance door & please use the sanitation station located just inside. Masks that fully cover your nose and mouth are required in order to enter the building. You’ll wind your way around the Holiday Market area to the order station & can warm up by the fireplace while you wait for your order, or move on towards the exit. We’ve developed a one-way-in and one-way-out system to ensure social distancing practices are met.

Health, safety and happiness are top priorities for Irish Nobleman Pub Chicago. For the well-being of our staff, customers, neighbors, family and friends, we have many systems in place to increase safety in our establishment. Many of these things were even implemented long before the pandemic. (Read about more of our safety efforts here.)
